On my way through Oldcastle, I stopped for some lunch. This was the busiest place in the town centre but they seemed to keeping everyone satisfied quickly. So I went in. I was not disappointed. My meal was presented quickly and was tasty. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the bar seemed to have a reasonable selection. Because I was driving in a rental car in a strange country I chose not to have an alcoholic drink. Overall a pleasant interlude, so much so, that on my return journey, I stopped for an evening meal which was very good, and chose to stay in the town overnight. Prices were comparable to what I experienced in equivalent Irish businesses, but the servings were on the large size.

A good roomy bar & restaurant for post Covid dining. My 2nd time out since it all started & Caffreys is giving me back my confidence in a social setting. Beautiful lunch & service exemplary as always.

We arrived on Sunday 8 May, a little while before they opened, but we were given a seat, menus and drinks while we waiting for opening time. Excellent meal, excellent service and great staff who couldn't do enough for us. Great value for money too. We will definitely be back.

Have been eating here for many years and the standard of food, service, hygiene and value for money is hard to beat. The owners of this premises and staff know the business they are in and obviously care about their customers and repeat business.
